Café Ex: The Films of Bridget Farr
November 7, 2013

Inaugurated in 1998, the sixteenth season of this ongoing visiting artist series presents artist-curated evenings of independent experimental film and video in the intimate atmosphere of Club SAW. Once again, the series features Canadian experimental cinema, with guest filmmakers presenting their work and engaging in extensive discussions with audience members for a "pay-what-you-can" admission.

Please join us at Club SAW at 7pm on November 7th as we showcase the work of Ottawa's own Bridget Farr.

Bridget Farr has been a fixture on the independent film scene for over 15 years. She's also an award-winning filmmaker and photographer. Her numerous art films have been screened over 100 times at international film festivals and events on all five major continents. Whether she's working as Artistic Director of the Burundi Film Center, teaching 16mm filmmaking classes to women, or collaborating with her filmmaker husband, Christopher Redmond, Bridget's passion for cinema touches almost every aspect of her life. The Canadian Film Institute is honoured to present a selection of the works of this accomplished, talented local filmmaker.

Bridget Farr will attend the screening to introduce and discuss her films.
