The Enlightened Screen: Brandon Cronenberg
June 20, 2015

Welcome to the latest installment of our ongoing screening and guest artist series with Canada’s leading independent filmmakers, which has previously featured the cinema of Peter Mettler (Toronto), Gary Burns (Calgary), Catherine Martin (Montreal), William D. MacGillivray (Lunenberg), Carl Bessai (Vancouver), and Alanins Obomsawin (Montreal).

In this edition, the Canadian Film Institute is proud to present the impressive work of a talented emerging filmmaker, Brandon Cronenberg. Born and raised in Toronto, Brandon Cronenberg studied film at Ryerson University. In addition to his first feature, Antiviral (see below), which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, Cronenberg has written and directed several short films and music videos.

Brandon Cronenberg will attend the screening to introduce and discuss his films.

In addition to Antiviral, we will also present two recently produced short works by Brandon Cronenberg.
