Ottawa International Animation Festival
September 16, 2015 until September 20, 2015

From September 17th to 21st, the nation's capital will once again become the center of the animation universe. The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is the largest event of its kind in North America, a major film event attracting attendees from around the world. Film buffs, art lovers and cartoon fans thoroughly enjoyed this year's great line up of screenings. This year, the Ottawa International Animation Festival received a total of 2088 entries from 85 different countries. Of those, 75 short films and 4 feature films were chosen for competition.

Below is just a sampling of what the Ottawa International Animation Festival offers: our four Feature Film Competition selections, a special release screening of Hotel Transylvania 2, as well as a special retrospective screening of Karel Zeman's Invention for Destruction (Czechoslovakia, 1958) and a documentary about the legendary filmmaker. Each event repeats at least once throughout the weekend, and other film screenings include the international-class Short Film Competition, retrospectives, workshops, and special presentations. The complete five-day schedule can be found on our official website: www.animationfestival.ca!
