Ottawa International Animation Festival
September 21, 2016 until September 25, 2016

From September 21st to 25th, the nation's capital will once again become the center of the animation universe. The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is the largest event of its kind in North America, a major film event attracting attendees from around the world. Film buffs, art lovers and cartoon fans thoroughly enjoyed this year's great line up of screenings. This year, the Ottawa International Animation Festival received a total of 2311 entries from 86 different countries. Of those 80 short films and 7 feature films were chosen for competition. In addition, 73 panorama films were chosen to represent the efforts of the Canadian, International, and Student communities.

Below is just a sampling of what the Ottawa International Animation Festival offers: our seven Feature Film Competition selections, a special screening of Canadian classic The Enchanted Village, as well as a special screening of Laika's Coraline. Each event repeats at least once throughout the weekend, and other film screenings include the international-class Short Film Competition, retrospectives, workshops, and special presentations. The complete five-day schedule can be found on our official website: www.animationfestival.ca!
