The Films of Matthew Rankin
Canada, 120 minutes
"pay-what-you-can" admission

Café Ex: Canadian Experimental Cinema
Club SAW, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 7:30 pm
“Working in video and photo-chemical hybrids of documentary, experimental drama and animated abstraction, Winnipeg native Matthew Rankin’s films have been the object of both international acclaim and outraged corporate attack. An alumnus of the Sundance Film Festival, Matthew was a 2013 artist-in-residence at the McDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and is the first Winnipegger in film history to be nominated for Québec’s coveted Jutra award. Matthew works in French, English and, increasingly, Esperanto.”

Matthew Rankin will attend the screening to introduce and discuss his work.

Doors open at 7:00pm. Admission is "pay-what-you-can". Cash bar and snacks available.
