Spanish, with English sub-titles

21st Latin American Film Festival

In 8 days, Mariana is going to marry her former lover’s cousin René. While Willington, who never got over Mariana, tries to win her back, a series of violent deaths occur that are rumored to have been committed by a thief. To complicate matters, René's life will depend on his cousin Willington. This film portrays ordinary people caught in a situation that rapidly spirals out of control.

Laden with double-crosses and tangled allegiances — and boasting an excellent soundtrack of salsa, cumbia, and rock tunes taken from Willington's beloved collection of mixtapes — writer-director Iván D. Gaona's suspenseful debut feature blends a tense love story and a historical crime drama with a bold sense of place.

A hit on the international festival circuit, having been selected in Venice, Toronto and New York (Colombian Film Festival), this excellent film had Hollywood Reporter raving, “Gaona’s sheer storytelling verve will have audiences worldwide hooked…”
