After delivering a stellar vocal performance in West Berlin as part of a visiting Israeli choir, Stephi (Joy Rieger) cuts short her celebration when an unknown woman confronts her, accusing her father of being a murderer back in WWII. Upon telling this to her journalist sister, with whom she has a difficult relationship, Stephi and her start digging into their father’s past to find out the truth about his experiences in Poland during WWII. Was he a murderer? What was his role in the war? Based on true events, this suspenseful drama is set in 1977 and is a powerful exploration of the political and personal challenges of living with the burden of history. English sub-titles.
