Eight years in the making, Mr. Gaga is a testament to the art of dance and expression through choreography. This documentary follows Ohad Naharin, a man dedicated to dance since his youth and a passionate director of the Batsheva Dance Company. The film is beautifully captured through the direction of Tomer Heymann, director of numerous acclaimed documentaries such as I Shot My Love (2009) and Paper Dolls (2006). The film offers an intimate look at the workings of a dance studio, including all of the highs of success and the lows of failure. The film has been honoured with several awards and nominations, including the Documentary Spotlight Audience Award from the SXSW Film Festival in 2016. Mr. Gaga is a thrilling look at the expressive movement vocabulary created by intense emotional dance performances. English sub-titles.
