Somewhere in the wild landscapes of northern Luxembourg, oddball twenty-year-old Flepp lives in isolation with his reclusive mother, Sophie. They exist together in a strange symbiosis, isolated from conventional society and protective of their privacy. Everything changes, however, with the arrival of a mysterious ninteen-year-old runaway named Leena. Falling in love for the first time, Flepp begins to understand that if he wants to win Leena’s heart, he will have to sever the umbilical cord that is suffocating him. But is he ready to let go of his mother—and, equally important, is she ready to let go of him? Mammejong is a tautly constructed psychological drama.
