A harrowing war film, THE CROSSES is set during the internal conflict of 1980s Guatemala.  In the jungle, a group of six men and one woman must find a way to work together to protect the village of Las Cruces from an impending military attack.  The indigenous population of the area, also unsure of the group, is torn between the desire to help and thoughts of fleeing.  The group itself faces many contradictions; the same emotions that propel the civil war.  Can the people band together and work for the common good?  Powerful drama. English sub-titles.
