MURMURING COAST follows two lovers, Evita and Luis, and their turbulent love story set during the 1960s civil war in the African country of Mozambique. The couple is transferred into a world full of violence that deals with the conflicts between the white colonists and the Africans. Will the newly married couple be able to survive their marriage, or will they be torn apart by the war that surrounds them? For her first feature length film, Margarida Cardoso delivers a well-scripted film, and the settings deliver the notion of both a potential paradise or a place of terror.  Composer Bernardo Sassetti and main actress Beatriz Batarda will attend the screening.  English subtitles.
