In this surreal and humourous drama, a quiet and reserved Catholic, Pamela (Roxana Blanco), spends her days working the check-out counter at the local grocery store. Pamela’s life, however, is connected to the Catholic faith in a variety of odd ways: a returning customer who appears to be the holy spirit repeatedly gives her his extra change; regular attendance at the Church of the Wounded Christ begets hypnosis; and Pamela believes she is undergoing immaculate conception, to name a few. Pamela befriends a transvestite named Katia (Nicolas Becerra), and, together, the two embark on a journey to find a father for Pamela’s expected son.
