Atom Egoyan Wishes the CFI a Happy 80th Anniversary!

Our 80th season may be over, but we’re still celebrating by sharing with you all of the kind messages we received from our friends, wishing us a Happy 80th Anniversary.

Academy award nominated filmmaker Atom Egoyan has a long history with the CFI. He showed his first feature, Next of Kin, with the CFI in 1984 and in 2010, attended screenings and Q&As for his film, and the book by Tom McSorley about the film, The Adjuster. Atom has been a great supporter and friend of the CFI.

 

 
Ann Marie Fleming Wishes the CFI a Happy 80th Anniversary!

Our 80th season may be over, but we’re still celebrating by sharing with you all of the kind messages we received from our friends, wishing us a Happy 80th Anniversary.

The CFI’s relationship with filmmaker Anne Marie Fleming continues this fall when she will premiere her latest feature, Window Horses, at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, where she is also serving on the Short Competition Jury.

A long-time friend of the CFI, aboriginal filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin, has premiered four of her films in Ottawa with the CFI, providing audiences with engaging Q&As.

Our 80th season may be over, but we’re still celebrating by sharing with you all of the kind messages we received from our friends, wishing us a Happy 80th Anniversary.

First up is Alan Franey, current Director of International Programming for the Vancouver International Film Festival . Alan, and VIFF, worked with the CFI in 1988 to host a Canadian film festival at the Calgary Winter Olympics.
